Shaping Behaviour to Drive Efficiency Seminar

On the 6th June 2013, we held a breakfast seminar for financial directors throughout London to meet, discuss and listen to presentations and round table debates about the importance of, and ways to, retain staff motivation throughout a corporation.

The seminar was commissioned by Pinsent Masons, and held at their impressive offices on Earl Street (near Liverpool Street Station) overlooking the city. The morning began with bacon sandwiches and a coffee, whilst listening to Dr Kate Hays (the Team Psychologist of Harlequins Rugby Union) explaining that the underpinning values of all teams are the same; there must be one shared goal and the importance of team ethos.

After a short coffee break, the Director of Finance at Inmarsat Global Ltd, the FD at Legal & General Property and the MD of Anthony Hodges Consulting, debated what they saw as the major risks in their organisations; operational technicalities or smooth people management? The full transcript from this discussion will be available in the seminar’s downloadable report – released at the end of June.

After questions from the floor to the panel, the last hour was a case study from our sponsors Pinsent Masons, covering practical thinking for optimising workforce talent – a case study to think about and take back to their employees. practical theories for FDs to start implementing now into their everyday lives.

It was a great morning, extremely informative with a lot to go back to the office and think about. Huge thanks to all our speakers and delegates from Pinsent Masons and ourselves.

If you couldn’t make the seminar, the report will be available free of charge here.
