Increased reliance on automation, technology and outsourcing is not a new feat in the asset management industry. That being said, the importance of operational functionality and resilience has been propelled to the forefront of our minds since March 2020, due to the changes to the way we work caused by the onset of the novel coronavirus pandemic.

The Fund Technology, Data and Operations, Europe 2021 Report proceeds the annual Fund Management Operations Virtual Summit, and aims to address key concerns related to data management including the availability, quality, and maintenance of data. Thought leaders interrogate the meaning of ‘operational resilience’ has changed since March, and how it should be perceived moving forward; How employee selection will change as it is increasingly driven by the increasing use of technology; How the management of key operational risks and cyber security has developed during this time.

This report brings together UK and wider Europe based Chief Operating Officers, Heads of Operations, Chief Technology Officers, and Heads of Data Management from Asset Management Organisations. The report facilitates discussions between thought leaders related to operational resilience, operational risks and cyber security, and emerging technology data considerations.
